Love – The First Fruit of the Holy Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Galatians 5:22).

How can one genuinely walk in love in this world, where everyone only thinks of themselves? People want to rise in society at the expense of others. However, God demands that we walk in God’s love. How could it be? This article explains how the fruit of the Holy Spirit can develop in you with the help of the Holy Spirit.

What I mean is: live by the Spirit, and you will not obey the desires of the flesh – Galatians 5:16.

God will not command you to do what you cannot, because God is faithful, and He will not let you tempted beyond what you can – 1 Corinthians 10:13. Furthermore, all things are possible for those who believe – Mark 9:23

The good news is that love is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. So when you are full of the Spirit of God, you will be full of God’s love. His presence in you will develop the love of God that He has placed in you at the new birth – Romans 5: 5

Walking in love seems complicated because it is against the desires of the flesh, but when you walk in the Spirit, you will not satisfy the flesh. The scriptures say that it is not by your strength or strength but by the Holy Ghost – Zechariah 4: 6

The love of God revealed in your life is proof that the Holy Spirit is leading you. So, the more you get along with Him, the more God’s love develops in you. Remember, when iron sharpens iron, so does a man sharpen the face of his friend – Proverbs 27:17; in this case, it is the Holy Spirit that is grinding you.

One way the Holy Spirit can sharpen you and develop the fruit of the Holy Spirit within you is by studying the Word of God. God’s Word is for rebuke, for correction, for instruction in truth, so that you can be complete, complete for every good work – including walking in love – 2 Timothy 3: 16-17.

Also, God’s Spirit guides you into all truth (John 16:13), and God’s Word is the truth (John 17:17). The Holy Spirit gives you an understanding of God’s will about love and empowers you to obey. So, the more you understand the power and virtue of God’s love, the more you will make God’s love your search.

Another way the Holy Spirit sharpens you and develops the fruit of the Holy Spirit within you is to pray in the Spirit (praying in tongues is proof that you have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit). When you do that, you become more spiritual-minded, thereby subjecting the desires and desires of the flesh – Romans 8: 5-9. The more you pray in the Spirit, the more you develop the ability to love, even in impossible circumstances.

So, spending time praying in the Spirit and the Holy Spirit will help you to put to death the works of the flesh (Romans 8:13) that go against your desire to walk in love (Galatians 5:17). Also, in the process, you develop the love attained by His presence in your life.

In conclusion, it is possible to love with God’s love, no matter the situation with the help of God’s Spirit. Love is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, so when He fully dwells and manifests Himself in you, walking in love becomes an entrance.
